I would guess Waymos would just start banning riders who repeatedly leave the door open.

In the middle of the story, it kind of got weird, some girl rear-ended a Waymo, so the accident was her fault, so she stopped and waited to turn herself in, I would’ve got the frick out of there in two seconds

My thoughts as well. It seems like doors would shut automatically. I would charge those frick sticks up the arse for leaving the door open.
