Non gym days, I'm up at 6am. Gym days I'm up at 4:30am. Its hard to get out of bed on those days, but once I do, its all good.

I can't sleep past daylight if I tried. You get used to waking up at 5am every morning, your body just gets used to it. Besides, the older you get, the more your body hurts, and laying in bed with a bad shoulder would keep anyone up all night. Don't pick on the old people, they get a good nap in after lunch every day anyway.

I wake up every morning at 4:00am and hit the gym before going to work. Mind your business.

Why were you up that early and WTF difference does it make to you what time two geezers get up?

Mind your own business and STFU

I’m pretty sure this is a common theme as you age.

I hate getting out of bed, but I love getting up early

That feeling of getting things done (work out, shower, breakfast, etc) before anyone else is awake is an awesome feeling

I wish I had the discipline to do it regularly

Voluntarily waking up before 6AM is a curse.

Life would be much more enjoyable if the world worked around a 6 to 3 workday rather than 8 to 5.

My grandma who still works, gets up around 4. She works 6-2...likes to beat Atlanta traffic both ways.
Pics of her?

Pending review of those, ask her if she’d like to make $50 the hard way.

Since Mom (81) and I live together after Dad's death, I often ask this same question. Of course Mom has very little logic, all emotion based reasoning, but still.

All Mom does is watch Fox News or play solitaire on her PC. She hates the daytime Fox due to their politics but loves the nighttime shows. However, since she wakes up at 5am at the latest, she naps during her preferred night shows. She simply will not accept the logic of waking later/going to bed later so she can be alert and awake for her preferred programs and avoid the part she doesn't like.

It's not like she does ANYTHING from 5-7am when she gets up, makes coffee, takes her thyroid med which she then has to wait 1 hour to eat breakfast. So the earliest she can eat breakfast is 8am, making an actual "start" to activities around 9am at the earliest (cooking/eating/cleanup~1hour). Of course her main activity is waiting for the evening Fox programs. /facepalm

She does have 1 daytime habit/activity: she rearranges the contents of the kitchen. At least weekly I never know where to find the plates, or the peanut butter, or the coffee cups. Drives me nuts!

I wake up at 4:45am on weekdays and around 5:00-5:30am on Weekends.

I love the early morning time to myself to drink coffee before everyone else in the house gets up! It's therapy..

Depends on what shift I'm on at the plant and if it's my day off or some jackwagon needs me to cover a shift.

The days I work out before work I’m up at 3:30 am (sometimes I work out before work, sometimes after). Otherwise I’m up at 4:30-5 weekday mornings.

Weekends I’m up usually around 6.

I enjoy the quiet of early mornings. Also is a great feeling on a Saturday or Sunday when you’ve already worked out and ran some errands....and realize you still have the whole day ahead of you.

They gotta get to Country Kitchen Buffet.

I wake up at 5:00, our office runs an early schedule so most are out the door by 3:30.

This is me. I usually sleep until 6:30 or 7 on days off but sometimes the back or neck gets stiff and sore and it's impossible to sleep comfortably. I got up this morning at 4:30.
