It's to avoid big crowds and it's a great way to start your day.

You read the post wrong. Start chores at 5:00 or 5:30 AM. Or fishing, drinking etc.

Retired. Don’t work anymore. Don’t want to work anymore. I did my time on the hamster wheel. Want to do what I want to do on my own time.

I get to bed about 1-2 a.m. and get up around 10-11 a.m. Nine hours of sleep helps the body to properly heal and regenerate. That’s my belief, code and excuse.

I always had a night job in newspapers so this is my normal. It takes all types for this country to function.

I'm up by 4 most days... Two main factors: as I've gotten older, I need less sleep. 6 hours is a lot of sleep for me; 4-5 is more like it. I just can't sleep more than that. Also, I live in NOLA and run pretty serious miles (2K miles/yr), and to beat heat & traffic, I do a lot of pre-dawn miles.

You run at Audubon?

I wake up like clockwork every morning around 530-6A, no matter if I go to bed at 930p or 1a...

I say that 530/6a is a reasonable time to start the day
