I wouldn't buy a new vehicle right now, in 3-6 months, they will be significantly more discounted. All these manufacturers other than Toyota and Honda have tons of excess inventory.

The new tundras are Americanized and suck. Less reliable than ecoboosts when they first came out.

If the repairs are more than a note…

So I've got a beater car with over 200,000 miles just to go to work and back. No clearcoat and starting to rust and drinks oil like an alcoholic redneck.
Recently the airbag sensor went out and one other.
Sounds like one of my 3 pickups.
05 Z71 extended cab I bought brand new. It's been with me through 2 marriages (I was going through 1st divorce when i bought it), 2 divorces and has lived in 5 states. She's got some dings, some rush on the undercarriage and burns oil. The air bag sensor has been out for probably 4-5 years.
I don't drive it every day but I still enjoy driving it into town. And it's a beast at hauling wood and brush and taking it off road a little. It won't ever get sold, it will go from me to the salvage yard.

Ok then buy a truck and tell me what you are gonna sell it for the following week or month or 6 months

I’m about to buy a tundra. I’m gonna drive that bitch until the wheels fall off.
My 2008 Lexus LX 570 is a tank and has 100k on it. Hoping to get a repeat with a 2021 or earlier Tundra. Currently drive a commuter Honda that I’m giving to my son.

I’ve decided if my car kicks the bucket (2017 with 129K miles) I’ll buy a late 90’s 4Runner. Should run under 10k and keep trucking.

Thinking about replacing my 07 4Runner with a 12-14 GX. I can stomach the MPG, but the premium gas is what's got me hesitant.

This, and its not like you will lose valve in a trade-in. Interest rates may go down a little also.

Don't replace the airbag sensor and keep driving it. Drive it until it disintegrates, then get a Camry.

We should all ride around in 10k vehicles. These dealerships are out of control with the prices. Louisiana is the poorest state yet everyone is driving around in a 80k vehicle.

Yes Gramps we understand this. Nobody buys a truck and sells it 6 months or a year later.
If you track the data, used trucks have maintained their value very well past 10 years or so.

Gotta look the part, new 100K vehicles with 30A stickers and Rolexs on the wrist to separate from the poors.

Bought a used Tundra 7 years ago for $17,000. It had 65,000 miles on it. Passed 200,000 a month ago and still runs like the day I bought it.
I bought a 2014 Tundra in 2016 for 25k. It had 18k miles on it.
I know have almost 230k and have done nothing but change the oil.

agreed.
Local Ford dealership is selling 2023 F150 models for $10k off. What a deal...

I'd give it another few months before even thinking about it.

Bought an Audi A6 super cheap because the airbag light was on.
Can of Deoxit, sprayed the connector under the seat….light went away.

I never see me buying a new vehicle ever again at these prices and features. I came out way cheaper and closer to what I wanted buying a beater and fixing it.
