re: ‘24 Toyota Tundras

The people I know with the new ones have been having small problems and spending time at the dealership getting things fixed. ...
Looks heavy yellow lab, the white patch on the chest is an acceptable “defect” called a medallion in AKC registered labs. No clue what the rest of it could be. ...
Everyone I know that has a new has had nothing but problems but “they are real nice inside”. That’s Americanized. ...
The new tundras are Americanized and suck. Less reliable than ecoboosts when they first came out. ...

I have the same grow kit as you, I place the seedlings outside in the afternoons for a little while every chance I get, makes a big difference. Also keep the vents closed until the seeds germinate then open them. ...

NWLA was basically void of coots this year as well, has been a steady decline the last few years. Pretty sad watch the areas that used to hold hundreds if not thousands of birds not have a single bird....

Saw Cody Canada play this year and he said Toby Keith was the first person to ask Cody to open for him and gave him pretty high praises. Made it sound like Toby really helped kick start his career. ...

re: Frontier vs Tacoma?

Frontier is a better truck than the Tacoma for doing actual truck stuff like hauling and towing. They both will last a long time. Frontier does have the turning radius of a locomotive. ...
Didn’t kill a duck this morning or see any migrators on a lake in Natchitoches and stayed till 12. So I don’t think they come down with cold fronts anymore…...
After spending a lot of time in Sabine, Grant and Winn parishes I can tell you 300lb meth heads are really common. ...

I am also in on them, currently regretting not getting out when I doubled my money. It’s another reason I figured this would be a good pace to ask if albermarle is actually producing. ...

Talking to some people from Magnolia Arkansas today and they were talking up a lithium extraction plant in Magnolia, basically saying they have already started producing lithium from brine water and are about start producing and selling lithium for batteries in 2024. Anybody in on this?...

re: Fascinating Duck Study on Pressure

If public land didn’t have rest areas, private lands with minimal disturbance would probably just have more ducks on them. Pressure can turn the best duck habitat into a flight day only location pretty quick. I heard of a speck gps’d along the coast of Louisiana or Texas (can’t remember which one)...

re: Feeders VS Plots

Posted by inotsure on 12/8/23 at 10:28 pm
During the rut I see bucks in open areas such as secluded pastures trying to see and wind does, food plots have a similar effect. That being said one of main hunting spots has a five acre thicket with planted shooting lanes and feeder between crp loaded with acorns and a five acre food plot. The de...

Most of the flooded ag crop refuges run out of food before the end of the season. The birds occupying them during the day are there to avoid pressure and feed else at night. ...

re: Drought Effects on Deer Season

Posted by inotsure on 11/29/23 at 9:26 pm
Drought hasn’t affected the deer I’ve been watching in Winn and Natchitoches. One of the bucks we killed had some of the most fat I’ve ever seen on a deer. One thing ive noticed the past month is deer walking past corn to browse on food plots which I am assuming is due to them getting the carbs they...

re: American made hunting products?

Went on duck hunt in north Oklahoma last weekend (not many birds up there) and stopped at the G&H factory on the way back down. I highly suggest going by if passing through, they have all seconds decoys for $10 a piece. Was able to pick up a few goose floaters and duck decoys. I’m really glad I held...
