At what age were your kids able to handle going to a CFB night game?

Thinking about taking my son to a game soon. Curious at what age kids can handle staying up until 10/11pm watching a game.

After they can carry the alcohol you teach them to steal from cars in the parking lot

We took our 2 year old to a night game that started at 7 not too long ago. Put her down for the nap later that usually and let her sleep longer than usually. Made it to the 3rd quarter with no problem and then went home. It was a good trial run.

This. I went to my first LSU game at age 6. Stayed the whole game and was in awe of it all. Dad even told mom when we got home, “we’re going to have a problem”.

Fast forward, I took my 11 year old stepson to his first game and he didn’t make it out of the 3rd quarter. Last time he went with me.

Given your family's demographics, you'll probably get a comment or two....

Speaking from the experience of taking my 3 year old to a night time minor league game, 3 is too young. Unless you want to waste money paying for a game you won't watch as your kid runs around.

My daughter is 6 and I think she could make it through a whole game but there's a lot of sensory stuff going on that it's exhausting for kids. We bring her and her 3 year old brother to the Central Michigan type games when it's less intense and we can leave at halftime or the third quarter. Start with a bad game you won't feel bad leaving early and see how far they can go.

Whatever age the kids sitting near us were at the Bama-Georgia game at Bryant-Denny in 2007 were too young to hear foul language and be around rowdy drunk fans, according to their mother.

I brought them once they were potty-trained. I was not going to change diapers in the TS bathrooms. Getting them to go in the toilet with the 'traffic' in there was plenty difficult enough.

I think my youngest was 3. We brought a blanket and she slept thru after half time.

I took my 4 1/2 year old to see 2 games earlier this year and they were day games. Too hot... it was miserable. Took him to the Bama game expecting to be out of there early 3rd and ended up not leaving getting to the truck until 11:15pm. Was a night game and he was fine. Slept all the way home and then went straight to bed. No real next day effects.

As long as it isn't hot they are pretty good to go. I let him watch some cartoons on my iphone a few times in 2nd half to break things up a bit. Headphones highly recommended because it can be too loud for small kids.

I brought my 7 year old to the Auburn game. He loved it.

Definitely didn't tailgate all day though.

Depends on the kid.

Took my 6-year-old boy to his first home game Saturday. We specifically chose this game b.c. it was an 11 a.m. kickoff. B.c. the conditions were perfect he already wants to go back.

The latest game I would take my kid to is a 6 p.m. kickoff. Theoretically, I could have him back in the vehicle for 10 p.m., which is doable, and he can sleep on the way home.

a 7 p.m. kickoff means he may not get back to the vehicle until 11 p.m., which is too late.

Also, if it is too hot or too cold, he may not want to go back.

I would never bring my 6-year-old to a 2:30 p.m. because its too long. Can't ask him to sit for 4 hours.
