You have it all backward.
Not that I want to get in the way of true love or anything, but if you don’t want kids until your mid-30’s, then you don’t need to be with a woman who is five years older than you. Or even your age.
Take it from someone who is old and experienced. Find yourself a woman who is five years younger than you. Older women are not for you to marry. Marry a younger one. You will thank me later.
Yeah yeah... I’m sure there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence out there of a guy marrying an older woman and having it all work out with kids ... blah blahblah. bullshite. Listen to the wisdom from the mountain. Marry younger.

Nope. My wife was 35 when we had our first. She will be 40 when she delivers our third.

My wife's parents were in their late thirties when she was born. Really the only downside was she had to switch into caregiver mode at a relatively young age.

They say after 35 is the start of "advanced maternal age" but 35-40 is not that uncommon and not usually problematic for women to have children.

when they can't afford to take care of them. I don't care if you are 18 or 50, if you can't take care of kids then don't have them.

Double edged sword. The longer you wait is the older you are when they leave home... you wanna be knocking on geritol and viagra when they move out or you wanna have a few good years left in you? Also wonen after 40 you run much higher risks of downs and other defects.

The older she gets, the less her body will heal from pregnancy.

50 is max age before the downhill slide and then you dont have the energy and it ends up you find you need them to help you
