Definitely will surpass Italy. We've already almost doubled Italy's positive test if you go by the same time line. Italy is basically 11 days ahead of us dealing with this. At day 15, March 8th, for Italy they were at 7,375. That would be today for us. As of right now we have 13,159. Almost double. May very well be double by the end of the day.
As of today Italy has 41,035. 11 days from now we will greatly surpass that number. Especially watching Washington continue to drag it's feet on testing, delays in testing time, getting required equipment to hospitals.
Hopefully I'm wrong but the numbers aren't playing out in our favor right now.
Down vote me. Still won't change the facts of what's going on.

We have 5x the population of Italy

Our death rate is 1.39% right now

Italy’s, when they had our number of cases, had a death rate of like 8%

It's more accurate to compare Italy to a single state (California, Texas or NY) and not the US as a whole.

It's not like population size and death rate for each country has anything to do with.

I’m not taking the numbers put out by the Chinese Communist Party as facts.

only if you trust the numbers the Chinese published

the general rule of thumb for communist numbers is take the good numbers and divide by half. take the bad numbers and triple

3,245 * 3 = 9,735

There's a number of psychos that are intent on causing as much panic as possible. I'm getting tired of calming hysterical acquaintances nerves.

People forget it’s easier for China to lock this shite down. Their one party has full control over every aspect of the nation. All the bureaucracy here means debates and ideas have to be passed which takes time. In China, they can act immediately.

Why is it Washington's responsibility to get equipment to hospitals?

Even if it was, do you think there are vast warehouses of medical equipment just sitting there waiting for a pandemic? You've watched too many movies.
