Boss move. Get shot, stay on scene to take care of business.

From all accounts he is a great guy. Considering the fact that most sheriffs in this state are there to just collect a check, the fact he even was on a scene says a lot about him.

neighbor1 walked over said a few racial slurs and shot neighbor 2, then fired a few at the officers when they arrived and they returned fire.

Same scoop I heard. I’m glad that the sheriff and his deputy are ok.

I've been here forever. Everytime someone mentions a wife, daughter, girlfriend, etc. Wannabe funny hardlegs will post. "You know the rules, pics" but i can't think of anyone ever posting pics of their spouse outside of one or two posters.
I guess i don't get it. I don't want to see most of yalls frumpy wives.

WAFB reported from the scene at 6 pm. Really, really nice homes. . . regardless of the parish.

That’s cause that’s where all the sink hole refugees live. That’s settlement money

Yeah, I see WBRZ is now reporting what happened.

The dude was pissed a black dude moved in down the road from him. It will probably be considered a hate crime and the dude was motivated by the fact the man was black, but from my understanding he was having or did have some mental problems going on. Paranoid, anxiety... things like that. He probably wasn't too thrilled about the dude moving in down the road, but the mental issues drove him to act.

I would also say, any black dude who moves to Pierre Part is probably not someone you have to worry about. In fact, I would assume his reasoning for moving there was to get away from "the culture". He lives in a pretty nice house across the street from the bayou. In fact, its a pretty nice area to live. You can look out the front window and watch eagles flying around. There are eagle nest in the trees. There is some distance between them, but during the winter they are flying all along the bayou. The downside is that the only place there is to shop is the Pierre Part Store.

I think there are one or two families who pretty much run Assumption Parish and they profit by keeping out fast food restaurants or any type of chain stores. What I am getting at is that, the people who move in there in the nicer areas are people who are retired

Here is a little more from WAFB

quote:

A shooting that left Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon with a grazing wound is being investigated as a possible hate crime, multiple sources confirmed to the WAFB I-TEAM.

The incident began when a suspect confronted a Black man who was cutting grass, sources said. Words were exchanged and the suspect allegedly used a racial slur before grabbing a shotgun and opening fire, striking the victim in the genitalia, according to sources.

Sheriff Falcon and another deputy were first to arrive when law enforcement was called. The suspect then allegedly opened fire on the sheriff, grazing him in the side, sources said. The deputy with Falcon returned fire, striking the suspect.

OUCH

Wrong. Assumption parish doesn’t have enough busy areas to need fast food restaurants. All of the big businesses in Assumption parish have closed down, except for the sugar mills. Most people work out of the parish. It’s all small towns where everyone knows everyone. Not all in the parish should be judged by the actions of a few. There are issues in the parish, but it’s not the people that live in it.

Exactly. This racist POS that did this is an exception for the most part everyone gets along with everyone down here. I live on the south end of the parish near Morgan City.

Yes think the subway is part of a gas station. It’s not the Subway by itself.

Didn't think the New York Subway had a line all the way to Pierre Part. All that digging must have been the cause of the sinkhole in Bayou Corne.

LOL
