Due to drainage issues. Is this really feasible?

Good. The sprawl that has gone unchecked for decades is directly causing this increased flooding. It's the wild west in this state and no one wants to tell developers "no".

They'd be better off lobbying for some of that Covid money to fix their drainage problem. Or trying to be somewhat of a regional leader and work with neighboring parishes for a broader solution.

But nothing they come up with will handle the kind of rainfall they saw yesterday. That was far beyond what any city is designed to handle.

Sounds like plenty of work available to solve the drainage issues the state is experiencing.

Nah they'll just build out everything in Livingston or up in Zachary instead.

Here's the other problem: Ascension can't even pass a local tax to fix their road network. What does he think they can do in a year to address existing drainage problems?

Sounds a lot like an unmarried woman giving up sex for 6 months after finding out she is pregnant for her 4th kid.
