they were not expelled, they were given the option to leave the school so it will not show up on their record.

How is this even a choice. You rip my kids pants down, you are going to have charges filed.

Pot meet kettle.

How bout when you blindly dismiss facts because you’re trying to make excuses and marginalize a
story. As you do constantly?

Hearing parents are getting more pressure to file charges. This is definitely not over.

I have zero knowledge of this situation, but is it too far fetched to believe that the school is telling the parents not to pursue legal charges and if they do, their son will have to attend another school?

If this is what happened, criminal charges should be filed.

Im no lawyer, but this is a crime, not high school hazing. i dont think its up to the parents to press charges or not, the DA is supposed to.

I just rather not make assumptions before the facts are provided and try to consider all possibilities instead of blindly stating my assumption as facts.

I am just saying at small Catholic schools, parents with the most influence usually get what they want.

It's black v white with them. Why should we be any different? Pick a side fence rider.

Parents choosing to not press chargers doesn’t matter. Production and distribution of child pornography isn’t an optional charge.

was law enforcement in on this deal? Leave school and it doesn’t go on their records? Eff that they should spend some time in jail.

And posted it online. Isn't that child pornography in all cases, in addition to assault? Should be felons.

Was the coach and/or the Principal aware of this sordid activity? If so and they did not report it to the Sheriff it could lead to charges for them.

So five kids force another to pose for child porn and all they have to do is change schools?

Wow.

It's best to let kids fight their own battles sometimes, vs. letting things spiral into, well... whatever this thread is.

I think at my school they would have been kicked off the football team and made to feel very small by the disciplinarian. I guess not every school has a guy like that, but they should.

It's typical Donaldsonville. If only Ascension could gift that whole side of the river to another parish. I'm sure Assumption or Iberville parish wouldn't mind......

Easy now.

I wonder if these kids are even Catholic. AC, just like Catholic High, is known for offering scholarships to athletes. Germain and Melvin Williams were from assumption parish and not Catholics.
