My mom (we usually go to her house) has heart/kidney problems and the Covid would for sure wipe her out.

She sent word today that she did not want a large group at her house, especially nieces, nephews, girl/boy friends she doesn't know. She says my sister and I and immediate family are welcome but the others can take a Hike.

I may just go to the woods hunting

Not unless JBE and Destroya both permit me to do so.

When the police show up and drag you off to jail, watch out for your cornhole.

Going to the in-laws. They don't have anyone who's considered high risk. I'm not sure what my family plans on doing with our grandma.

Sure am, old folks included. They stopped giving a frick a long time ago. Even my 94 year old grandmother who just recovered from a broken hip.

We usually go see the in laws in Bama for Thanksgiving but it's not typically a large crowd. All of my wife's aunts and uncles kind of do their own since her grandparents died.

This year shouldn't be any different. There will probably be 7-9 people. My FIL would probably die if he got Covid but he doesn't give a shite.

Wife is pregnant, so trying not to go to any large gatherings. Grandparents are 96 years old and haven't seen them since last Christmas due to Covid. So although it's difficult, don't plan on doing the typical large family gathering (can get to 35+ on that side easily).

Yes, unless requested otherwise.

At the beginning of this sad episode in our history I chose to keep my family away from my parents (both 70+ years old). About three weeks in my mother, a cancer survivor, was begging me and my family to come visit as my parents missed seeing their grandchildren. They understood the "risk" in doing so, but were willing to accept that level of risk in exchange for the joy of spending time with their son and grandchildren.
