Around 45 people from five states. One coming in from the UK. We plan on sitting close without masks.

I haven't done family get togethers in years due to distance. Will hang out friends, as usual. Young-ish, not overweight, no COVID concerns.

Just a small get-together for us. There are people in your life who you want to spend time with regardless of risk. They give your life joy and meaning.

It is reasonable for people to look at the low death rate and 10% longhauler rate and decide to proceed anyway.

It is also reasonable for people to see a potentially successful vaccine on the horizon and think, "I'll continue to be cautious for the next couple of months and see if a shot or two in the arm can offer me a safer path forward."

I personally know people with lingering symptoms who, in retrospect, would pass on the COVID if they could.

What's the chances of JBE and Destroya having big Thanksgiving get-togethers? If so I'm sure the media will forget to mention it.

My wife and I are using covid as an excuse not celebrating with her trashy Metairie family. We don’t really feel like hearing constant bitching about the election and these “thug” nfl players on tv.

My husband, kids and I make up a large family - so I don’t think it matters if we invite my immediate family over as well

I was just trying to come up with a list of people I know that don’t have family so they can come over too. It’ll be their decision.

I’m going to quarantine myself for the few days before and go spend the week with elderly parents. What we do is up to them. Thanksgiving is the only holiday I like and I despise Christmas. I’ll have to go home for Christmas too but it’ll be a drop in, drop out visit.

Well, Easter is nice too but that’s not part of the holiday season.
