I’m getting by far the biggest bonus I’ve gotten, but it’s all going to taxes.

Not really all going to taxes, but I think that’s what you’re supposed to say.

I wish I knew the rhyme or reason to the Christmas bonus calculations but I don't.

It could be anywhere from a $100 to $3,500

I've had two jobs out of college so far and neither one has done a Christmas bonus.

Our boss said we'll be getting giftcards this year though! Outback Steakhouse isn't gonna know what hit em.

I thought about cutting out Christmas bonuses, but a healthy bottom line loses its luster when you have to hurt the ones you depend on to get it. So, I said, whatever you got last year, add say 20%.

This is the first year I'm getting a substantial bonus. Just found out last week, and I'm not really sure what I gonna do with it yet.

You're gonna be pissed when you see how much taxes are taken out.

I've been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of several bonuses this year. The Christmas/End of Year bonus is a lot bigger than I ever expected it to be. Add to that a 12-pind Honeybaked ham at Thanksgiving and the fly-fishing trip to Montana at the end of September/first of October and I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about where my employer is involved. I'd crawl through hell and back for him. He's a great person who takes care of his employees and his community. He's a blessed individual who shares his blessings very generously with everyone around him.

i expect to make a bonus

though it's been getting smaller and smaller the last couple of years. 2019 was by far the biggest one we got, 2022 was the smallest one I ever received

edit

I had a bigger bonus in 2015 when I worked there for 5 months than I did working OT in 2022

It’s no longer politically correct, because not everybody celebrates Christmas.

I’m eagerly awaiting my $40 Walmart gift card. Same gift for past 15 years.
They used to give us a box of nuts and chocolate candy.

I also receive a zeroxed merry Christmas thank you for your contributions letter, same one for 15+ years with my gift card.

I get my annual bonus in January, but they quietly dropped an extra unexpected $400 this payroll. Great company.

Nice!
I started with a new company in January and the rumor is that they are pretty generous with the bonuses..
Most companies require you work a full 12 months prior to qualify for a bonus.
