And I do not want to ask the Politards. I think the OT has a healthy mix of pros and cons on this and for different reasons.

Are you hopeful that LA one day can have a policy maybe SOMEWHAT similar to Colorado or Washington or do you feel that will/should never be?

Just your honest thoughts.

Sure. We need drivers who are high enough to not care about all the drunks on the road.

It should be completely legal. No bs licenses or medical prescriptions. The only restriction, arguably, should be age, like with alcohol or tobacco.

Weed and I have never gotten along so I don't have a dog in this fight, but it shouldn't be illegal anywhere.

Yes. I don't smoke it either. I believe that people should be able to grow and smoke a plant if they choose. I don't want it taxed or regulated either. I should be able to grow it in my backyard. Because, freedom and shite.

I'm for legalizing all drugs, not just marijuana.

For it.

Alcohol is much more dangerous and Louisiana loves to get liquor’d up.

It’d be great for New Orleans to jump on the opportunity to legalize and market itself as an American-Amsterdam.

Foshizzle...that might be the only reason I want to keep it where it is, but regardless, people are still going to use and abuse and drive. The War on Drugs is nonsense.

Yup. State needs the tax money, and I think it's a fairly harmless drug that people should be able to use

That's the worst argument imo. We don't need to give politicians more of our money. They need to stay the hell out of our lives more though.

There’s not a single valid reason it isn’t legal

That should be up to the employer.

I know people who drive a lot better high than most people do sober. Wreckless driving should always be punished, and people speeding, driving way under the speed limit, weaving across lanes, running stop signs, etc is always criminal, and shouldn't become EXTRA criminal just because that person smoked a doobie or had a couple shots of tequila two hours before.

If someone's driving safe, why penalize them?

If someone's driving is unsafe, why not penalize them?

Agreed. "Taxing it"...those ducks do not fly.

"Freedom and shite" flies.
