I have a preference for DST, but I just want to stop the time changes. If they picked standard year round, I would be mildly disappointed but get over it quickly.

But at least on DST, there's enough time in the evenings to take care of yard work during the week so you can keep the weekends completely free to go fish, hunt, watch football, and spend with the family.

A lot of people think the only reason the sun sets earlier in the winter is because we change the clocks.

Better than driving home 45 minutes after dark IMHO. I leave my house for work between 8-8:15 central time and leave work to come home around 5:15-5:45 depending on how the day has gone. I would rather have the dark to sleep, and the light to drive home personally.
It's a matter of personal preference, and we are never all going to agree on it.
