Boo Hoo. If an adult can't anticipate when to go to bed and wake up to mitigate that change then they aren't a very successful human. On the spring forward, from a biorhythms point of view, one should be able to fully recover from the loss of 1 hour of sleep in exactly one day two at the most.

I'm an insomniac with a very strong biological clock. A good night is getting 6 hours of sleep and I never get 6 consecutive hours in a row. I wake up between 4:00 and 5:00 am everyday without an alarm clock regardless of when I go to sleep. The fall back change is much worse for me as I will wake up between 3am and 4am for a couple of weeks after the change back to standard time.

But yet I'm not complaining about how hard DST vs ST is because I get how it's a plus over all for me.

People need to HTFU and get over it.

Do you want your neighbors mowing their yards at 6:00 AM every weekend? Because that's how you get neighbors mowing yards at 6:00 AM once summer heat kicks in

If either is going to be permanent then I'd rather DST.

Year round standard time means first light would be between 4:30 and 5:00 AM for about 4 months out of the year in SELA. Up north around Minnesota, it would be first light out before 4:00 AM from late May to early July

I would rather keep the time change twice a year than have to deal with sunrises that early to where its miserably hot by 9:00 AM for doing yardwork or to go fishing in the summer.

I selfishly prefer year round DST so its an extra hour of sleep during hunting season and to have a little bit of daylight after work to take care of outdoor work around the house during the week.

Probably not. I feel like they initially pass a bill out of the House or Senate every session and it ultimately just dies out.
