I really hope it happens. I hate the changes back and forth and i hate it getting so dark so early in the winter.

I am against it. I don't want it dark till 9:00 a.m. in the winter.

Well I don’t want it dark at 530pm in the winter, so I’m for it.

I’m also against it. I like it better when my kids go to bed at 7 because it’s pitch black outside

Agreed. Yes, let's have darkness until 830 a.m. so a couple guys can hit two more golf balls in the dead of winter. Permanent Standard Time would be far superior.

I am wondering if this will be the next Y2K fear the media pushes.

On daylight savings time, it would still be pitch dark by 6 pm in the dead of winter. Next bs claim?

It won't be permanent DST. It will be permanent standard time, which makes way more sense.

Trump spoke out in strong support of it, so that means every Dem senator will vote against. So, in other words, it aint gonna happen.

F’ck Daylight Savings
I want Standard Time all year round
I want Standard Time all year round

Standard time year round is the way to go. The sun should be peaking at or around noon depending if you are in the eastern or western part of a time zone this changes a bit.

I'm going to bitch either way, so it doesn't matter to me.

It won't be permanent DST. It will be permanent standard time, which makes way more sense.
If either is going to be permanent it should be standard. Keeping the change is even better than year round DST.

Why would the senate take up something that is universally agreed on for vote? lol

What perplexes me about this whole DST vs Standard time thing is folks complain about having to switch clocks. The thing is, most of our devices now change on their own automatically. Nobody in The Greatest Gen, Baby Boomer or Gen X complained when folks had to actually physically/manually change all of their clocks.
It's a product of our lives being too easy these days and folks needing something to complain about. So they've latched onto this...

It’s more an issue for states up north than down here

Or on the western edge of a time zone.

Clock in our bathroom stays on whatever time was before so only 4 months out of a year does it have correct time.
