Englands greatest gift to India was the English language in lie of the 600 dialects in use.

The main difference today would be Pakistan is majority Muslim
There are still almost as many Muslims in India as there is in Pakistan.

another place where the Brits used religion to totally frick up an area
Why was it the Brits fault when Congress and the Muslim League agreed to partition themselves?

When my ship arrived in Pakistan, my division LPO only gave me this advice: If you decide to go ashore, don’t shake with your left hand. I stayed onboard and caught up on some studying.

15 years of work in the Middle East with the locals could be summed up very generally as..............Arabs are the genetic cross of Indians and africans.

1. Shared Ethnic Roots Indians and Pakistanis share deep historical, genetic, and cultural roots. Both countries were part of British India before the 1947 partition. Most people in Pakistan today are descended from the same Indo-Aryan and Dravidian ethnic groups that populate northern and western India. 2. Major Ethnic Groups in Pakistan Punjabis – the largest ethnic group (similar to Indian Punjabis, but mostly Muslim) Sindhis – share cultural links with western India (especially Gujarat and Rajasthan) Pashtuns – more closely related to Afghan ethnic groups Baloch – also found in Iran and Afghanistan Muhajirs – Urdu-speaking migrants from India after partition Others – Smaller groups include Kashmiris, Hazara, and Saraikis 3. Major Ethnic Groups in India North Indians – Indo-Aryan descent, with ethnic overlap with Pakistan (Punjabis, Kashmiris, etc.) South Indians – Dravidian ancestry, very different linguistically and ethnically from most Pakistanis Tribal and indigenous groups – like the Adivasis, distinct from mainstream ethnic categories Wide diversity – over 2,000 ethnic groups and 1,600+ languages/dialects 4. Religion as a Major Divider While ethnically related in many ways, the biggest difference today is religion: Pakistan is overwhelmingly Muslim. India is mostly Hindu, but also has large Muslim, Sikh, Christian, and other minorities. 5. Visual and Genetic Overlap People from northern India and eastern Pakistan (like Punjab) often look and sound very similar. You’d likely have a hard time distinguishing them by appearance alone. In Summary: Very similar in the north, especially among Punjabis and Kashmiris. More different in the south, where India's ethnic diversity increases and Pakistan doesn’t have corresponding groups. Religion and national identity now play a much bigger role in perceived difference than ethnicity alone.

How many suicide raids have started in Pakistan over the last 20 years that sought to kill as many Indians are possible? I can think of 3 with the last one being last week. I think India is sick of their shite and will go a few round with them. Pakistan has a much weaker military and only the southern half of the country is really modern. India has large Muslim populations clustered in the north. If they start an uprising it could get interesting.
The end of the old British India saw both sides openly killing large numbers of each other citizens. It could turn into a blood bath real quick.
Funny thing, Britain sort of kept the peace while they were in charge of it all. They get no credit for that now.

Pakistan is an acronym, Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir, Sindh, and Baluchistan. Just thought that was interesting

I know. I mentioned the religion thing in the original post.
I’m talking about ethnicity here.

I work for an Indian couple that owns a small business. They are really nice people that legally migrated from Mumbai. I knew a Pakistani family that owned a Mexican Restaurant on Jones Creek Rd. in the 90's.that were pure liars.

Dividing line is, yet again, religion (Muslims in Pakistan and multiple Religions, including some Muslim, in India).
Why do people keep mentioning religion? The question is about ethnicity.
I clearly stated that Pakistan is mostly Muslim and India is not in the original post, so that fact has already been established.
