that's what I'm noticing more of, drivers around here are very aggressive and obnoxious about it
there is no sense of community these days, especially in most growing, transient areas. So many people live in their own bubble and have a “frick everyone else” mentality.

Of course it’s worse in poorer areas but wealthier areas are starting to catch up. This country is finished.

If I’m remotely close to a yellow light I’m not slamming my breaks to stop. If the lights don’t have the blinking signals a quarter of a mile back to say the light is fixing to change then. Shame on them

Really bad in Baton Rouge... When I leave the state, especially west, I do not see it nearly as much.

I know that stop signs are.

100% truth. I had a chick completely fly right through one back in December and t-bone me doing at least 40. Damn near flipped me over and I drive a F150 4WD. I saw her headlights coming to the intersection and knew she wasn't going to attempt to stop so I punched it and luckily she just crushed my rear end. If I wouldn't have done that I probably would have buried my wife who was riding shotgun and my daughter who was right behind her in the backseat.

With that being said, Gordon will make sure that she understands stop signs from now on.

Do very many cities use red light cameras these days?

In smaller cities, it seems like the cost of maintaining them exceeds the cost of fine money the cities collect by using them.

Years go I heard a comedian talk aboot running lights in New Orleans. He said that the light turned red, then 7 cars went through anyway, closely followed by a school bus, then two nuns in a Carolla.

Yes and will remain so until they try to do something about it.

As long as you get past Houston and Dallas, you are ok. Too many Louisiana people that close to the line.

Had one lady honk at me while blowing through a flashing red one night. It's generally wild how many people don't understand what to do with a flashing yellow / flashing red or even a light out.

It is incredibly bad in Lafayette and has been(though not quite as bad as now) for years. I would be in favor of the red light cameras coming back. But for running lights only because I like my speeding

Nothing pisses me off more than people coming to a complete stop at a blinking yellow light.

It should be a law that lights are timed to where you only have to catch one red light. We have a main street through town and you can catch every damn red light some days. The government is hell bent on making vehicles so fuel at the expense of utility, but they can't even mandate that red lights operate to where you don't have to stop and go so much.

One of the lights on my exit is way too short so usually about 3 cars go after the light turns red. The way its set up, you don't really have a problem because the light sending people through to this particular light doesn't allow enough time for people to ordinarily get to the intersection to be hit by the red light runners.
