Probably so just because of their elite reaction times but the best race drivers in the world have to be rally drivers. Those dudes are maniacs

No. They are well conditioned but nothing to do with athleticism

100%. Mental focus plus the physical aspect makes these guys some of the best athletes in the world.

Stamina and agility have nothing to do with athleticism?

You have to be a supremely talented athlete to drive in circles for a living .

James Hunt was an athlete when it came to engaging in aerobic exercise with women.

Richard Hammond drives an F1 car

Once you watch that, nobody should question that they are athletes.

Of course they are. Pretty ignorant to argue otherwise.

Modern F1 drivers are for sure athletes. Assuming any poster in this thread could even get an F1 car around the track once at full-speed, you would be hard pressed to do a second lap. The mental focus and physical strength and stamina required to drive one of those things is elite level.

Have you ever seen those guys do hand-eye warm up drills?

They are fricking elite.

I’d say you have to be an Athlete to smash the amount of women they get, so Yes.
