According to magnetic healer Daniel D. Palmer, the founder of chiropractic, "vertebral subluxation" was the sole cause of all diseases and manipulation was the cure for all diseases of the human race.[3] A 2003 profession-wide survey found "most chiropractors (whether 'straights' or 'mixers') still hold views of Innate Intelligence and of the cause and cure of disease (not just back pain) consistent with those of the Palmers."[

quote:

Daniel David Palmer, the "father" of chiropractic who performed the first chiropractic adjustment in 1895, was an avid spiritualist. He maintained that the notion and basic principles of chiropractic treatment were passed along to him during a seance by a long-dead doctor.

"The knowledge and philosophy given me by Dr. Jim Atkinson, an intelligent spiritual being ... appealed to my reason," Palmer wrote in his memoir "The Chiropractor," which was published in 1914 after his death in Los Angeles. Atkinson had died 50 years prior to Palmer's epiphany.

Before learning of spinal adjustments from a supernatural entity, Palmer spent nine years as a practitioner of what was known as "magnetic healing," in which he would diagnose and cure ailments by manipulating a magnetic field surrounding the patient's body

The founder believed spirits talked to him
He used magnets to “heal”
And he even claimed that he cured a deaf person by adjusting their back

Do I really need to say anything else?

I think they’re all bullshite.

That said, this popped up as a suggestion from the OP’s video. The calves on this chick were sculpted from marble.

I could call myself “Doctor” since my degree qualifies and I guarantee I know more medicine than a chiropractor. They are quacks and charlatans mostly.

Just watched the video. This is the best quote

quote:

I just adjusted your atlas. This sends a neurological proprioceptive bombardment to your cerebellum to retrain your body to adopt this new posture

all he did was shoot her in the neck with a pop gun nowhere near the atlas

Depends on the chiropractor. Go to one that has their PhD with a specialization in something like kinesiology or sports medicine.

My gf goes to the guy who's on the sidelines at Saints' practices.

Went with her to an appointment one day and the guy shakes my hand. Says, "man your shoulders look tight, want me to help, no charge."

I explain I have a few damaged vertebrae, unrepaired broken collar bones, thoracic compression damage, and an unrepaired torn pectoral.

He says, just the shoulders, it'll help.

I'm a big guy, and my back is completely solid. The little fricker pushed with his thumb right below my right shoulder blade and there was a loud SNICK. Instant relief.

I wouldn't do it on the regular, but if things were bad, I'd have no qualms.

Without lawyers and lawsuits the profession wouldn’t exist. It’s basically an arm of the ambulance chasing industry.
I wouldn’t want to go to one.

Not sure if I could, but I'd try and put her back right back where it was.
