An opinion is that it’s the taboo/repression of it that makes it so popular. The awareness of nakedness as wrong- the creation story- is the root of the problem. If we accepted it as a natural phenomenon and weren’t so repressed, we would have a better relationship with sex. It doesn’t have to be “naughty”.

And that's an opinion, and an incorrect framing of what Christians actually teach. Christians don't actually teach sex is "naughty."
In no circumstance is simply following our animal "passions" infinitely ever a good thing.
The modern retraction from sex is directly related to the unending access the whatever visual about sex any kid could want. So the actual beauty of sex completely escapes them.
