cheffler finished rounds 1, 2, and 4 at -4, -5, and -6, respectively. He finished round 3 (after his “3 hours in the drunk tank”) +2.

He finished the event -13, tied for 8th, with a payout of $521,418. If he had matched his worst round up to that point on day 3 rather than going 2 over, he would have finished 3rd with a payout of $1,258,000.

It’s not crazy to suggest that this fiasco cost Scheffler $700,000 or more. There’s obviously no way to know for sure, but I think most people would agree that it impacted him.

except the incident happened before round 2, not round 3.

On his day 3 round being over par, an argument can be made that it was because of his caddie. He had a fill-in that day while his regular caddie attended a graduation.

You can be “pro cop” in the sense that “abolish the police” and pushing decriminalization and immediate no cash bail are horrible decisions for society because we need rule of law.

This is why Black Lives Matter and other SJW bullshite is extra harmful, because it goes so extreme the other direction you have to be “pro cop” (including shitty ones) or “anti cop” (including the vast majority of good ones)

No, if you are a cop and are caught lying in a police report you should be fired, and if you are lying in order to pin charges on someone you should have charges filed against you.

People like this will always act like this unless you make them pay. I hope Scottie sues the shite out of them.

Not going to lie. Im still confused at what actually happened. That video shows what happened after the alledged event. All it showed twas the cop running up to the vehicle.

In the longer video, at the beginning, you can see Scottie driving the vehicle around the officer. Then the officer ran up to the vehicle like “you can’t go around me.”

I’m generally inclined to believe officers in most instances. This one smelled from the start. The ESPN reporter trying to talk to them in a calm rational voice and the cop being aggressive towards him really made no sense.

While that video is pretty short and doesn’t show much it definitely appears to contradict the officers report.

I will typically believe them if it's their word versus the word of an actual criminal, or obviously if there is some sort of evidence.

But, this was just absurd from the start.

In the cops defense he probably thought he was still with NOPD and could just write a quick work of fiction and be done with it
