This was released by LMPD. Imagine knighting for this fricking cop.

I’ll remember that when I call them and they show up 6 hours later

What I see. SS slowly pulls up. Cop runs up. SUV sits there for a while. My take, SS was arguing and arguing with the cop . Bad move. He has the gun, you don’t. Not saying he should have been cuffed, but he should have immediately asked the cop , “officer, where would you like for me to go?” Then, text the PGA of America President and let him know the story. Let him handle it.
This is what the police report says. Direct quote: Detective Gillis was in the middle of the westbound lanes, in full LMPD uniform and a hi-visibility yellow reflective rain jacket, Detective Gillis stopped subject and attempted to give instructions. Subject refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective Gillis to the ground…
Literally nothing in that report is true except he was in a yellow rain jacket.
What I see in the video (both angles) is Scheffler slowly creeping up. I don’t ever see him stop and then accelerate as alleged.
Looks like Scheffler is driving through slowly with like 15 other cops standing around. It looks like the one cop that walks up to the back of his car while Gillis is beating on the window also looks confused. He was damn near waving Scheffler in until Gillis runs up like a psychopath.
It was raining and Scheffler’s window was up. Gillis didn’t stop him and tell him to do something else and Scheffler accelerated as represented in the report. Gillis makes it sound like there was a conversation that Schedfler purposefully ignored.
At best, Gillis was trying to motion directions at Scheffler that were not seen by Scheffler because he was probably looking at one of the other 15 cops out there. Gillis completely overreacts. You can see a glimpse of Scheffler jump/react in his car out of surprise when Gillis bangs on the window. He probably had no idea this psycho was even there up until then.

I watched the presser. Tje Mayor and Police Chief specifically said the officer did not have his body cam on, which is a violation of section blah blah blah. In other words, nothing will become of this. Guess where the cop worked before Louisville? Yeah, I'm sure he was trained by the best. By a bunch of illiterate, knuckle dragging thugs, that honor their master mayor. I'd bet 75% of NOPD cops can't even write or speak a sentence on a 2nd grade English level.

This was released by his attorney, so what were you expecting? So instead of taking shots at the police, let's see all the evidence and then make an educated statement based on facts!l
All you guys that love bashing the police, just remember the next time your house is broken into or a gun is put to your head during a carjacking to definitely not call the police because they are just horrible, corrupt people with a badge!

I watched the press conference also. Mayor said that he hopes everyone can put this behind them after the next hearing.

I've never understood why people think scottie should aggressively go after the Louisville PD
Because they lied and caused him to lose money, dumb arse. He probably would have finished higher in the tourney.

The one and only Ted Scott, the pride of Lafayette, LA. Well I guess he shares it with Daniel Cormier and Dustin Poirier too.

I counted at least 4 other officers in that video. Were their body cams off, too.

I think that is the other video they are refusing to release at this time.

I have to believe that if all of these other cops had just seen their "brother" dragged down the street by a mad man that their reactions might have been slightly different? Maybe I'm just a skeptic. Usually cops stick together, especially if one of their lives is in danger. Maybe they just hate this d-bag and hope he gets run over.

Definitely an entitled a-hole.
The cop...
The cop...

I've called them when an alarm was going off.
Fatass couldn't even get out of his car.
Went in by myself.
STPSO, FWIW.

According to Carl Paulson who is an on-course reporter for PGA radio on XM, cops on the ground told him that this isn't going anywhere. Meaning, this will go away. He also said that a cop at the scene told him that the cop in question was still directing traffic 15 minutes after the arrest. He did not immediately go to the hospital for his "injuries".

OK, but suing the police department isn't gonna cost the cops money, it will cost the taxpayers

The one time in my life I’ve had a vehicle broken into, I gave BRPD the exact location of the stolen property (got a ping on Find My) a couple of days later.. BRPD told me they “can’t just go knocking on doors” to see if the rest of my stolen shite was there. They even got rude when I started asking the obvious question “well what am I supposed to do, then?” That wouldn’t even take the information, instead insisting that I call the precinct between 5 AM and 6 AM on a specific day to report it to the officer who had responded to the break-in (because once he left the precinct, he wouldn’t be in a position to collect the info). They had zero interest in helping, much less actually solving a string of burglaries in the area.
Y’all want respect? Maybe start by not being shite at your jobs.

If my only options are idiot police officers randomly charging people with felonies for no reason and me having to be happy about it or just being responsible for my own safety and not having to deal with assholes I know which option I’m choosing.

When seconds count the cops are minutes away.
Anyone that breaks into my house won’t be walking out under their own power if I’m home.
