Joe from Holden when people democratically decide not to allow F-250s down cramped historic streets and instead opt for pedestrian friendly accomodations

Metropolitan parisians hate their hill-Billy countrymen with a passion and view them as beneath them. Sounds like those same people that live in NYC and L.A.

Paris is a shithole. If you want French culture go to Versailles.

Love this OT favorite. Every city I don't like is a shithole.

We should all move to the middle of nowhere and be a plumber and we would experience nirvana and live in perpetual bliss.

Our world would be a lot better if fewer people lived in large metro areas and instead lived in smaller, more close knit communities.

I understand why we don’t, just saying it would be better.

I drive a 4wd suv but even I support this. Cities like this do not even require a car to get around, reducing the congestion is good.

More than 54% of the votes cast in the low-turnout election supported the measure to triple parking fees for large SUV drivers from out of town

So if you own a large SUV but are from Paris you don’t have to pay this increased fee? Wouldn’t this mean that a party of 6 would have to rent two vehicles, doubling the traffic and increasing their environmental impact?

Fairly certain that most Parisians don’t drive SUVs due to direct cost as well as gas prices.

They drive little shitbox Peugeots which get set on fire by “youths” every weekend.

I think the goal is walking, biking, or public transit. Not renting multiple SUVs to bebop around

Why are you renting a vehicle in Paris? Rent one to drive elsewhere maybe but you arent getting hit with this fee then.

Theyre wanting to force everyone to use public transportation. Its a huge progressive deal. Youre not supposed to have individual power.

Maybe you’re traveling with a large group that can’t fit into a 5 seater and want to explore the French country side some too. In order to do that, you now need to rent two vehicles.

I’m not saying you SHOULD or NEED a vehicle to explore Paris, I’m saying that if you needed a vehicle to explore France, you now effectively need two.

I’m well aware that Paris is a pedestrian/public transit city and any kind of individual/private transportation is unnecessary. But what if you wanted to get out of Paris and see other parts of France?
