2018 F 150 just off the Kansas City assembly line in August, picked up Friday. 2.7 eco boost, 4-door, papa topper by ARE, XLT package.

Similar to 2015.
Rides good, good gas mileage, comfortable, tows ok, small bed so I got the camper (papa topper), and never had an issue with 2015 traded in at 130,000.
Again, I do not keep a truck long due to I put a lot of mileage on them.

Sold my 2015 single cab to a young guy for $13,500 last week. It was 4x4 that had 105,000 no issue and even had the original oem tires (rotate & balance every 5,000 miles). Use or farm property in LA and East Texas.

I have 2 at the moment. I have my old work truck that is a 2010 Lariat with 100k miles on it, never had any mechanical issues at all. Had some cosmetic warranty issues at the start.

My second is a 2016 XLT with about 20k on it. Again, zero issues with it.

I actually use mine for work, I tow about 13k pound trailers behind it for an hour to hour and a half and still holds up well.

I had 3 Chevy's before the two fords and the only one that could tow like my f150s was my 2005 2500 HD with the gas burner.

For a personal vehicle, I would probably choose a chevy over the f150 but the towing capacities are night and day.

Traded in my '11 Platinum for a '16 Ram Limited. I have no regrets. I had no problems with my F150, but the overall quality of the Limited blows the Platinum away.

Yeah...I drove "Hot Shot." And I change the oil every 30,000 miles. No real issues other than the power steering going out after 400,000 miles. Got my 1st tune up at 365,000 miles.

Oh, well, then. . . .you're being so kind to that engine. Every 30,000 miles? So nice of you.

have a 2013 lariat 4x4 off road package with the 5.0 L V8 and I fall in love with all over again every time I see it and drive it

40k miles and not a problem with it at all

I had a ford explorer sport trac before it. It was 13 years old and had 150k miles on it when I traded it in

both have been damn good trucks

I would never buy the ecoboost. my buddy is a ford mechanic at a dealership and replaced 4 full motors in a matter of about 3 months, including my dads. We paid 13k out of pocket because they wouldn't cover it under warranty. Oil pressure dropped in every one of them due to the oil pickups "sludging" up but they suck a ton of oil up to cool the two turbos.

2013 xlt 3.5l w/ 94k.

Love it. I have the offroad package which is one of the ways to get the 36 gallon tank (or was that year at least). 500-600 miles/tank is very handy.

Biggest downside is this thing is a fricking magnet for people hitting me. No accidents prior to this truck. I've now been hit 3 times...rear ended twice while stopped and once while sitting in a drive through the old lady in front of me inexplicably decided to put it in reverse and stomp on the gas.

Bought a 2004 F-150 SuperCrew new - 4.6L V-8 2wd - has 220k miles on it - some of it towing a boat - drive train still runs perfectly - oil and filter changed every 5k and every fluid changed every 50k - great vehicle - would buy another naturally aspirated V-8 but no turbos. Still available to drag chevys and rams and tundras home when their frail parts fall on the road.....

2014 XLT crew cab 4x4 off road package with 5.0 liter.
50,000 miles no issues.
Which engine is going to last longer, one doing 2,500 rpm or one doing 4,000 rpm? Which engine has fewer moving parts?
That's why I bought the 5.0 over the ecoboost.
