That decision would need to be made within a few days and then acted upon. The economy has already taken a hit but starting it up sooner is better.
At some point, with the economy already hurting that bad, you’re almost better off riding out a longer quarantine. Otherwise all you did was half arse both the medical and economic side in this debacle.
Im thinking the day after Easter Trump will say theres a good chance we open up April 30 especially if theres a decline in the number of infected and deaths have slowed down

April 30th needs to be a priority. I cannot imagine what those on a shoestring budget are going through. I've got reserves and June 1st is a scary proposition
Are y'all corporate owned or franchises?

I'm thinking sometime in June if we're lucky to be honest.
Just turn off the lights at that point.
We would set US unemployment records.
We’ll have riots and protests before we get to June though, if that is what happens.
Eventually, fear of economic destruction will overcome any fear of the virus.
The younger more volatile generations, the ones that riot and loot, will become stir crazy as well.

Scruffy, I work for a Healthcare company and I think I'll be fricked by June.
I can do 99.8% of my job remotely too.

Hospitals survive on surgical procedures and other aspects that are shutdown currently.
Without those, many hospitals, especially small local ones, won’t be able to survive.
Most already function on shoestring budgets.

3-4% profit margins at best. We aren't really that small for this market either.

Restaurants will no longer exist in our new future

June 15th minimal earliest for JBE. Think about it. No school to worry about, no baseball, nothing to lose

Don’t the CDC guidelines say there needs to be declining new cases and deaths for 4 straight weeks before opening anything up.

Trump is dying to slowly open up the US.
The President has done nothing formally but close the national borders, which is his prerogative to do. He and his staff advise, but he runs the fed side of things and stays in his lane.
The governors are the ones choking their own states. It will be up to them when to release their grip, not the President.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if you were tied to the national financials or some local owners.

I don't even see why anyone is discussing this as numbers of infected and deaths are going up still.

Starting to see that. The rest of the hospital is empty. Just waiting for the them to furlough half our pharmacy staff that runs the hospital besides the ICU and Clinical

That city won’t stand being shutdown for that amount of time with everyone forced to remain indoors with no area for output.
People are really going to lose their minds.

Yes

In a lot of areas, yes. New York, New Orleans, etc, no, unless there is a steady decline in new cases
