I am not saying they should just open everything right back up but they need to try to slowly start opening things up after April 30. We have to reach middle ground at some point. I'm not saying we shouldn't still take precautions but something has to give.
The current social distancing plan and flattening the curve cannot go on for months. Its simply not feasible for a lot of businesses/families and even different healthcare settings.
I don't think the rest of the country should just all be shut down because a couple of hot spots are not well controlled right now.
My hospital is empty right now. They have had to send a lot of workers home.

Our territory is Louisiana. Luckily, we are a very healthy franchise. I am waiting for our accountant and lawyer to filter the bs with all of these packages and such. I've heard so many different things I rather wait for them to filter it. I do believe there is a situation where laid off employees could make $45k a year that we would have to pay. That is pretty damn scary. Hopefully I heard wrong.

Hospitals survive on surgical procedures and other aspects that are shutdown currently.
To answer the OP. I think we will know more by next weekend to see if we start trending down

Allowing opening with restrictions on the numbers allowed within businesses, especially restaurants, movie theaters, and others where people mingle to a degree.
Push for wearing PPE while out at this time.
School for this year is shot. Might as well continue home schooling at this time.
Allow sporting events to restart with severe restrictions on crowd size and spacing within the stadiums between seats. Hell, they can give away masks at the doors.
There has to be a middle ground.

They moved all of our tables in the hospital cafeteria about 6 to 10 feet apart and only allow 4 chairs max at each table. Don’t see why restaurants can’t do the same

The problem with some of these people is they believe in one or the other. Either completely open up or completely shut down. Its like these people don't understand you can meet in between

They believe it is either “all open” or “all shutdown” and if you state support for limited opening of certain businesses with restrictions, they ask “why do you want to open up all businesses tomorrow?!! Reeee!!”
