Absolutely spot on...the only money maker in hospitals is surgery...the rest is in the red. There’s no way the hospitals can survive with no elective surgeries...

Exactly. Hospitals are bleeding during this as much as anyone else.

You’ll probably even see riots in New Orleans by that point.

That city won’t stand being shutdown for that amount of time with everyone forced to remain indoors with no area for output.

do you think ppl living in new Orleans cant go outside?

Scruffy can defend himself but I don't think he meant that people can't leave their homes.

We are under similar restrictions in BR too though. How long do you think this is sustainable before a total collapse?

i believe cities like new Orleans already need a reopening desperately as i was on magazine earlier today and the "collapse" is apparent - plenty of for sale or for lease signs on business doors.

trumps in a really tricky spot. idk what the right call is at this point

That is on JBE at this point.

Trump could come out and recommend it, but JBE has to roll the restrictions back.

That is why I do not see LA opening up anytime soon.

Trump does need to start pushing for it though and he needs to have Fauci come out and say that he supports it, because that is the only way the media will decrease their outrage even 1 iota.

The 3 largest states California, Florida, and TX with a combine 90mil population doesn't even have 1K(704 total) deaths combined.

If their numbers still look good, they need to roll with it.

This should be a state by state basis come May.

I don't even see why anyone is discussing this as numbers of infected and deaths are going up still.

Because people have bills to pay and mouths to feed. Pretty simple, actually.

No.
1. It's retarded to open them up when LA will be at 20,000 cases and 1000 deaths when they shut it all down with 90 cases and 2 deaths. JBE would be crucified.

2. The 100+ million spent for the Morial Convention Center Hospital. They haven't even finished constructing, staffing and constructing temporary housing for it yet. No way they open everything back up before getting that up and running with significant patient numbers.

This shut down/lockdown isn't going to be lifted until the end of summer. Feds have spent way too much emergency money for this not to happen.

Less than 1 death per 100K population.
