Yes. I pay my bills. Is this supposed to be difficult?

Yes both my wife and I both are well over 800. Pretty simple concept really. Pay your bills on time and your score stays high. Dont pay your bills, and youll always have a low score.

Although payment is a big part of your score, DTC makes up 35% of your score as well

This is where the mix of types of credit and credit utilization ratios come in. You can pay your bills 100% on time forever and if your average utilization is too high or you only have unsecured or revolving credit you won't get much higher. Whole thing is a crock of shite. Someone who has $5000 worth of credit and pays it off each month cause they are cash based will likely have a lower score than someone who as $25,000 but carries $2-3,000 every month.
