Im thinking about switching since pennzoil ultra switched their base away from natural gas. I stocked up with the last of the mohicans for 3 oil changes tho, bwaahaha.

I’d like to know if it can help improve the dogshit GDI engines that gunk up and burn more oil than the Iraqi’s when they got run out of Kuwait.

Use it on a 1997 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 with 241,000 miles and quieted the light piston slap I had. Very notici le how much quieter it is. Think it freed up the rings.
Use it in the wifes Honda Odyssey. 160,000 miles and it runs like a sewing machine. Pretty happy with it. No oil use in either vehicle.

5w30 or 40. In the truck, VW, Subaru, Miata. Name brand. Change it regularly, 5k ish miles. Should be good.

That's just dumb. Crankcase oil in a car ages. The additive package degrades and is used up; water, combustion gases, and wear metals build up; there will be major viscosity changes from oxidation and shear; and the oil will become more acidic. All of these will cause or accelerate wear in the engine.
There are some oils in a car that can last a very long time and quite a few miles, but the crankcase is an incredibly tough environment for oil.

I used it in my old daily driver for several oil changes, probably didn't clean much as I had always used synthetic oil on 5k OCI's. Have Mobil 1 Advanced Clean stocked up for my fiancee's 2004 5.3L Silverado, though it too has pretty much only had Mobil 1 5W-30 run in it for at least the last 15 years.

Oil change is pretty cheap insurance for a happy motor. Maybe an extra one a year? $70 retail? Vs 10k miles like VW suggest for an example. 2L turbo motor that you will turbo around town.

Because I can get a 12 quart box for 60 bucks. Because I don't have to change to a different oil when we are in northern idaho or montana in February. Because the 0w40 sheers down to what's basically a 0w35 after 2-3k miles. Because it works great in every single non diesel engine that I own, from generators, off-road toys, power equipment, mowers, all of it.
For those opposed to 10k oil changes and 20k filter changes.
My last four vehicles have all been taken well past 200k, two past 350k, miles. Zero issues. The synthetic oil lasts just fine. An oil filter performs better and better until it hits the bypass pressure. None of my oil filters have ever had enough debris in them, even at 20k, for that to be any sort of concern.

Valvoline is the only major oil company that has their own engine lab and recently tested engine with 500k on it using R&P. They found after two oil changes the previous stuck piston rings loosened up and were now unstuck.
This oil is revolutionary in that it cleans pistons back to factory new. It helps oil burners burn less oil. It quiets engine ticks.
For just a few bucks more per oil change it’s worth getting.

Some contaminants that get in the engine can't be filtered and will break down the oil. The longer they are in there, the worse it gets. It's your vehicle. Do what you want.
