Yes, we've essentially been doing this for 8 years. There's a very limited time period in a month where a woman can get pregnant. When we decided to "try" to have a child, we conceived

ETA: we also supplement with the pullout method, which isn't an approved method, but we do only have one child in 8 years by only using the combination of those two methods

Used it and taught the technique for a while. Is is much more effective than people give it credit for but you have to be disciplined with it.
We have 3 kids using it.

My wife is starting to work with women now as it is important for them to know their cycles when they want to have kids and with the prevalence if birth control (opinion) it seems to be harder for them to conceive.

Is it tough abstaining during the fertile times?

The way I see it, I guess you have two weeks out of the month for sex if you aren’t wanting a child.

One week she’ll be bleeding and another she’s fertile.

For two 20 somethings, it can be a hard thought!

We mostly did. Sometimes you gotta ignore the calendar and do what you gotta do, but no surprises for us so far.

Just pull out for the fertile week. Timing can be difficult if your spouse doesn't have a "regular" cycle. But, if she's ovulates on the 16th day of her cycle every month, then it's much easier to plan.

It's much better than fricking up her hormones by using birth control pills.

The spotty days are the best days. You don't get your peen messy and you don't have to pull out.

went to pre-cana before we got married.

.they had 3 married couples at different times in their marriage.

when they got to the topic of birth control the couple 10 years in said "we use the rhythm method"

i asked "how many kids do you have. they said 5.

I said, that's out, what are the other choices?
