I was wondering the same thing. Is it doable? And can it be done at this time of the year?

Satsuma tree

This is my Satsuma tree. Am I correct in assuming that the Satsuma portion is dead from the freeze and this new growth is only rootstock?

This EXACT scenario happened to me. Had a buddy I know that does HVAC on the commercial side come out to give a second opinion. Being that he's on the commercial side, he had no incentive to sell me anything. Just give his honest no BS opinion. I'm still running this same unit 2 years later after being given that "on it's last leg" line. Don't fall for the scare tactics. Don't replace a running unit.

I started lifting a week ago, haven't lifted in probably 8 years or so. Feeling great!

I'm doing Phrak's variant., and I have a couple of questions.
1. For chinups, I'm only getting to 3-4 on my AMRAP set. Should I begin to add weight as soon has I can do 5 reps? or should I wait until 7 or so?

2. Regarding the homework bodyweight stuff. I'm concerned that it will interfere with recovery, particularly for the chinups which I'm already not completing my AMRAP set. Should I hold off on these until I can complete the working sets, or continue with the homework. For chinup homework, I'm doing 3 rep sets using the FM.
You know another term Natural Family Planners?

Is it too late to put down Prodiamine in St. Augustine? Also, Can it be mixed with winter weed cocktail and applied together?

St. Augustine fertilizer question

Posted by BadMrK on 8/16/23 at 4:03 pm
My St.Augustine is very stressed, as I'm sure most everyone's is in this current heat and lack of rain. I'd like to get in a mid-August round of fertilization It went several weeks without any significant amount of water. Starting this past Saturday I've been watering daily, and it appears to be starting to green back up. Is it a good or bad idea to fertilize if the grass is heavily stressed?
There are a couple of reasons I can think of.
1. Taxation ensures the relevancy and status as the primary form of currency of the USD. For example, you can technically use other currency such as bitcoin in transactions, but you cannot pay your taxes with it. At the end of the day, you MUST convert a portion of whatever other form of currency into USD to pay your taxes. Because USD is what is accepted as tax payment, there is always an inherent need for it, ensuring it remains relevant.
2. Taxation is a tool for economical control. One big reason the government needs USD to remain relevant is because (a) they control it, and (b) as its controller, they can use it as tool to maintain control over the economy, to regulate and (ideally) stabilize the economy. Without control over the currency, the government couldn't really do too much to fix a poor economy. You can actually think about the terms in your question as two separate tools for economic control.

deficit spending = money creation
taxation = money deletion

Both of those functions are necessary to maintain control.

This is my good faith understanding of it. However, I realize that there are other caveats that may be at play in reality...like the fact that not everyone has to pay taxes.

@TSmith: Thanks for the heads up

@CrawDude: Its roughly (8) 50-60sqft areas in a ~9000sqft front lawn. After killing the existing vegetation, would attempting to transplant plugs from healthier areas in lieu of sodding be a waste of time?

St. Augustine lawn rehab advice

Posted by BadMrK on 5/11/22 at 9:50 am
Back story: A little over a year ago, I brought in a load of dirt to fill in some low spots. My intention at the time was to fill in my low spots and come back in a year with mason sand to level. The dirt I could source at the time was fill dirt. I wanted top soil, but my local trucking companies only had river silt and fill dirt on hand, and I definiatly didnt't want riversilt. The dirt had a good amount of clay in it. I did what I could to break it put as best as I could. It also brought in some dallisgrass, a little crab grass and some nutsedge. All of which I been fighting since.

Present day: As previously stated, I intended to bring in mason sand to level a month or 2 ago. But I decided not to because I dont think my lawn is really ready for it yet. The areas that I filled are now mostly bermuda with a mix of the previously mentioned weeds. My St. Augustine hasn't really attempted to spread into those areas much. The dirt seems pretty hard as well. Where do I go from here?

It is excellent content, but do note, the movie that starts it off as well as the first season and a half or so can be a real slog for newcomers to the series. That period was certainly more aimed at children as the target audience and has much less depth and nuance than the rest of it. Its still quite enjoyable though after getting through it the first watch through.

Personally, I really enjoy the format of the show. It consists almost entirely of multi-episode story arcs, wherein there will be a series of episodes, usually 3, but sometimes more or sometimes less, that follow a prominent character(s) to the conclusion of that arc. Almost like a series of episodes that could be smashed together into a mini-movie.

Among its other qualities, it does a fantastic job of painting Anakin's fall to the dark side and actually giving it the explanation that Revenge of the Sith severely lacked.

It sort of bills itself as a Republic war-effort propaganda piece that I think is really interesting

I started watch about a week ago, and I'm hooked. Can't wait for the finale.

One thing that bothered me from beginning though...In Boyd's raging rant directed at Frank, he says something to the effect of "You were supposed to nail the windows shut if you have children in the house!"

Seems like an odd rule to even have in the community. It would make far more sense and be a relatively minor task for Boyd to simply have had ALL windows in the town nailed shut (regardless of children in the residence), even doing so himself or at least verifying the work was completed. Seems like it would be pretty minor inconvenience with major protection benefit.

I'm also planning on top dressing my front yard this spring. How much sand will I need for ~10,700sqft?
