premarital council is one of the few things the Catholic church gets right.

Except for the NFP thing. The Catholic church’s obsession with sex is so weird. So obvious their preaching of NFP is to create more babies that will be baptized without choice, go to Catholic schools and then give money to the church as adults.

And I’m Catholic, got married Catholic and now have kids in Catholic school. I’m their target audience.

I have had actual birth control (not user error/also not the pill) fail- no way I would rely on NFP!

Timing can be difficult if your spouse doesn't have a "regular" cycle. But, if she's ovulates on the 16th day of her cycle every month, then it's much easier to plan.

This was our issue with it, my wife would have spans where she was every 4 weeks, then suddenly she'd go 5-6 weeks between cycles, then down to 3. In the end, it appears it averaged out to once a month, but she was all over the place...never took birth control in her life

Is it still considered pulling out if you just finish in a different hole?

Us, sort of. Just use the pullout method if it's ovulation time. We have 2 kids, both were intentional.

Why follow any method at all?

Boils down to:

1. Use a contraceptive method when you're not trying to get pregnant.
2. Don't use a contraceptive method when you are trying to get pregnant.

And, yeah, totally odd to me the Catholic Church cares this much about how married people get down.

Truth. The Church likes you to have a lot of kids. I think this is the real reason they push NFP when married... they know it doesn't work!

Why do you think Cathoic schools offer a multi-child discount?

Priest at pre-cana said

I was thinking " you mean with a woman, right".

They aren't the ones footing the bill for kids. Do what you have to do.

She can really only get pregnant during a certain window. All this does is guide you to have sex during that window. It’s not some sort of magic.

More good people need to be doing this.

Yes. It is every bit as effective as the pill without putting poison in your wife’s system.

The key is discipline. When the chart shows fertile, she is and you better lay off or else congrats on the baby.

We used the Creighton method and I think it was actually better for us than the pill.

Birth control fricks women up. Makes them crazy and by 40 they want new tits and an "arrangement."

Good luck, cucks.

Like this is a bad thing?

Also how are they obsessed with sex? They talk about abortion a lot ( is it not bad to murder a baby)? and premarital sex - would the world not be a better place if people would have less premarital sex ?

You also have to be disciplined with the Pill (take it at the same time every day).

For some reason one is mocked and the other is celebrated, even though both are vulnerable to user error.

Don't use a chart. buy one of those ovulation testers and if you think its borderline have her check. That chart isn't accurate every month
