I do. I would worry about having to wake up at a certain time, and thinking “if I don’t go to bed now I’ll only get 4 hours of sleep tonight.” That really fricked me up and brought on a lot of general anxiety.
I did that too, but then I realized I could still function after nights like that, even with an hour or two of sleep. After that, I no longer worried about it. Stopped looking at the clock and though "frick it, whatever time it was, I could handle it." Been a decade since I worried like that.

Oh, have you tried a full dose of Nyquil?

I’m so tired but can’t sleep. When I try my mind races on all kind of shite that I worry about. Some nights are worse then others. I think tonight will be a long night

I rarely get more than about four to five consecutive hours of sleep. It is worse now than during my working life. But I am retired so I get what I can and if I am tired the next day, I take a nap. Luckily it was mostly not a problem when I worked and I've decided I don't need full eight hours a night anyway.

Every single night, I lie awake until I cannot hold my eyes open anymore, because every minute that I steal by being awake pushes the workday further away.

frick that's depressing

No, I can’t imagine how much it must suck to go through cancer. I’ve watched it eat away at loved ones i’ve Known, reduce them to a shell. I would imagine anything that helps they’d try. I have no problem with marijuana

Do you have generalized Anxiety Disorder?

I do. It's a fricking nightmare. I had a completely untriggered panic attack in the middle of a work meeting today, in front of the owners. I had a couple of things I had to talk about/contribute and I was shaking so hard that it was hard to talk. I should mention that it was a very small management meeting at a locally-owned business...the staff is very close and the owners are pretty laid-back and we have these meetings every week, so it wasn't related to nerves. Just out of left field. Super embarrassing.

It's frustrating because you know you're being irrational but my body physically responds to stress. I shake and have trouble breathing, and often the attacks make me throw up. The insomnia is probably the worst side effect, though. I work a ton and mostly nights, and it's hard to do anything productive during the day and then work all night without any sleep.

CBD oils/products help. It's legal here, which is lucky.

It’s a terrible cycle. The insomnia feeds the anxiety, and vice versa.

Jesus Christ, man up, drink some bourbon, and go to sleep.

I have to he up in four hours and and I'm about 4 sips away from finishing my fourth double.

Sometimes math is fun.

Insomnia is the reason I started drinking fairly regularly back in the day. I don't have the problem any more but it was awful.

I was also an over thinker and overanalyzed everything. Those are gone too
