Everyone's dream is to be their own boss and set their own hours while working from home. When I Google that topic, all I can find is info about starting a "home-based envelope-stuffing business"...and you have to PAY THEM for info on how to do it...sounds like a scam, since the wrong person (the employer) is initially getting paid here.

I know several people who claim to be "self-employed" who have relatively nice-looking houses and cars. However, whenever I ask them what it is exactly that they do to make money, they then suddenly start getting kind of evasive. If I ask questions to them for details about what they do, all I am left with is more questions. I'm not suggesting that they are doing anything illegal per se, but rather they are probably using the phrase "self-employed" to cover up their embarrassment of actually being UNEMPLOYED and living off of an inheritance, or perhaps they are on some kind of government disability or whatever and don't want to admit it.

Does anyone here know anyone who claims to be self-employed but actually admits to what it is that they do to make a viable income?

A lot of doctors and lawyers are "self-employed" but they identify themselves as the doctors and lawyers.

A buddy of mine is self employed doing search engine optimization. I think its just easier for him to say self employed rather than explain his job to every person who asks

Self employed =/= Internet Ponzi schemes.

You want to Thrive??
Or get a 24 day Advocare Detox?
But first pay the taxes on this $20,000 grand you won.
