this shite to the incel board.

Hell, I'm not even sure the gaming board wants this mess.

Reddit is the only place I can think the discussion would be welcomed.

Your life must be pretty nice if you stress over Japanese cartoons. Gotta admit I’m a little jealous.

Not into the new stuff, but have 2 binders full of 98-99 cards and I know this is the holy grail of pokemon cards. $16.5M

Never understood the pokemon thing. My kids were into it for a little while but thankfully it didn't last long

I feel like there was a resurgence of trading cards in general over the last 5-6 years.

I was never really into the cards, but loved the first 4 generations growing up, games and anime. I'm 29 going on 30 so Gen 2 was the newest generation when I became cognizant enough to truly experience the series.

I recently got back into the series with Scarlet & Violet (I played the latter) on the Switch 2. From what I've read, it's a much better experience than on the original switch. It made me feel like I was a kid again. Also, finding shinies is relatively easy in that game due to the high quantity of spawns and the ability to pick & choose your battles. Plus the QOL updates that weren't there in my childhood games, like Exp. Candies.

I played through the main story of Legends: ZA as well but haven't gotten to the DLC yet really.

I saw some Asian dude in Walmart a few months ago buying the entire section of Pokémon cards. Literally wiped the section clean

I thought it was funny but apparently there was a huge interest in that stuff again

It is gambling and you are buying the deck of cards and letting them take the risk

Does Pokeman have a rookie Cal Ripken Jr? If not I have no interest.

I'm a few years older so I started with the Gen 1 games. I only played them until Gen 3. I'm going to give the newest games a try since Pokemon Champions is coming out next week. The competitive format is interesting to me. It's the closest thing to being a "real" Pokemon trainer that we thought about when we were kids
