I’m curious if you have any issues. I’ve had appliance sales people tell me they don’t clean as well as the washers with agitators, but consumer reports says the opposite. Per CR, the biggest advantages to the agitator washers are the wash speed and cost. Biggest downside to the washers without is that it’s easy to have an load get off balance and the wash time.

I have one and it does take longer to wash but it cleans very very well. You can also wash more at a time vs with an agitator machine. We’ve heard they come off balance sometimes but ours never has. I guess we just havent put enough in it yet .

I have one as well. No issues with it. A normal wash cycle is 53 minutes.

Have had one for 7 years with no problems.

Kenmore elite with the biggest drum they make. Cleans clothes just fine.

I have one. I'm constantly wash muddy jeans from work and it washes just fine.

They will get out of balance though if you over load them. Thought I was under attack the first time it happens.

In my house, the agitator actually loads the washer and occasionally she might fold the laundry after about 4-5 days.

How did you train your agitator to do such a great job?

Bought a top load without an agitator about 5 years ago. Returned it about 4 years and 355 days ago. That sonic cleaning or whatever they call it may work for your typical city person that doesn’t truly get dirty but if you get dirty from hunting, working in the yard, etc... top load without agitator did not get clothes clean. Home Depot took it back. Bought a Maytag with agitator and it washes clothes.

Wife’s parents have a no agitator washer and they like it. When we visit them in Sarasota I fish and ride bikes a lot. Clothes get washed and are clean. I don’t get dirty there... just sweaty.

I’ve had a GE for about 9 years with no issues. Cleans clothes just fine. Think a wash cycle is about 45min but the speed wash is about 30.

I had a Samsung top load without the agitator. After the second time the suspension arms got bent, I put that piece of crap at the road and bought a Speed Queen.

I had a whirlpool top load, no agitator. Biggest POS ever. Took forever to do a load of clothes and they were ridiculously twisted and wrinkled after the last spin cycle. Didn’t seem to clean as well either. And left soap on the clothes. Luckily it crapped out about 6 years after I bought it so I got one with an agitator (Maytag) and it’s been great.

If you place the load even around the drum they never get off balance. A few times I didn't pay attention and put a lot of jeans on one side and that sucker started bouncing all over the place.

We have a Maytag, wife swears it’s a piece of crap. I think it’s just fine, however I find it a lot louder than our old agitator washer which was a whirlpool.

We've had one for 6 months now. You can wash more clothes and it is quieter than a conventional washer with an agitator. It does fine cleaning clothes. It is quite a bit easier to load and unload.

My mom has one. When our front loader craps out that’s what we’ll be buying.
