After a weekend trip she returned to two newly painted rooms and a complete refreshing of the lower floor of our home.
Sadly she made a comment that it looks great but I (me) will slop it up again fairly soon. And....the truth hurt!

My wife works PRN on the weekends, so I help the kids with some chores. It's not about showing her who's boss, but me keeping my ears from hearing her mouth upon entry.

Every time I start feeling lonely and missing being married, I read a thread like this. Then I smile and go home to silence instead of a bitching wife. The only time I worry about making the house spotless is if there is a girl coming over that I actually have more than moderate interest in.
