I got you fam. I've had 16 yards sitting in my driveway on a massive tarp for 2 weeks.

I haven't so much as moved a thimble full yet

So proud. He promised his dad in the 1960s he would get a degree and life got in the way.

I've never heard the term "Maycember" til this thread.

Very apt term- stupid busy month!

It seems like it never stops in my family.

Wife and I were looking at our weekend calendar last month and we have “something” every weekend until after July 4th.

Kids birthday parties, recitals, 2 weddings, family coming in town, going to see the grandma etc etc.

I just want a nice quiet weekend where we don’t have any plans but those are so rare

Yes I can probably find time to get this shite done if I would quit whining to the OT.

If you'd get off of the Internet you could probably get those things done.

Yes. Two kids with full soccer obligations, Mother’s Day, anniversary, work travel etc. It eases up after Memorial Day weekend when the soccer goes back to open tryouts for the older club kid and no soccer for the younger rec league kid. Work dies down to in June.

We had two birthday parties on Saturday and the Mother's day on Sunday. I really need to weed eat.

Having people close to you needing you so much at one time is tough, but it ain't nearly as tough as having nobody need you.

Better than me. I’ve had so much shite going on I forgot to get the wife anything for Mother’s Day. Going on about 27 hrs of the silent treatment at this point and she made me sleep on the couch.

Agree completely. Mid to late Spring is annoyingly busy, constant shite.
We also happen to have a lot of Bdays around then too.

Stop being a pussy

I'm proud of you for getting those accomplishments done, and if ability to not be burnt out was a contest, you would have won this round.

I thought this was a trope, does this actually happen? Newly married and I don't know everything, so genuinely curious.

Mine has been April/May-Soccer tournaments every weekend until May, soccer practice daily between the two playing, dance recital, band concerts, band practice, sectionals, 5 birthday parties in two weekends, cheer tryouts, club soccer tryouts, camp registrations, dentist and orthodontist appts, dance rehearsals, First Communion…and a million little things like themed dress up days, May crowning, teacher appreciation week the week leading up to Mother’s Day (the irony), oh and a full time career and with two toddlers being toted around to all of this for my older kids.

I am done. I am so ready for school to end so the schedules become more relaxed. I am so exhausted that it’s making me physically sick some days.

Anyway, I feel your pain. We will make it. I think..

You and the wife should start swinging. It’ll get you interested & revved up again. Report back on how this goes too.
