Had a friend, now dead, who claimed to be the picture of health and never went to a Dr. for checkups.
He had a bad accident that found him in the hospital and tests were run since he had no real medical history to go by.
Found out he was Type 2 Diabetic, had high blood pressure, outrageous cholesterol and triglyceride levels-----among other minor things.
He lived about 2 more years and I found him dead in his home when asked by his out of town sister to do a welfare check on him. She hadn't heard from him in a week--------------and by the look of his body, he had been dead that long.

“No I love it,it is one of my favorite things to do.”
I’m sure you’re being sarcastic but there are people who do love going to Drs.
I had a hypochondriac uncle that did love it,drove my aunt crazy.
If hantavirus had been in the news when he was alive he would swear he had symptoms of it and would have gone to Dr.to get checked.

My husband has done the poop in a box twice now... I have not- but I did have to tote his first poop up to the UPS store to ship off. I laughed all the way home.

Great way to die from cancer or other illnesses.

Seems like the best test is to just to have someone take a look with a scope at the recommended intervals.
Not much worse than shitting in a box
Which if it comes back negative - you could still have something.
If it comes back positive - you get scoped anyway and now you’re scared you may have cancer when you very well may not.

I write my own prescriptions for both glasses and contacts.
..will never go to the eye doctor again for either.

OMG, the Cologuard thing was horrific. You're only supposed to fill up the jar to a certain point and I overloaded it.
I had a rep call me a few weeks later about the whole process and I said I was traumatized.
But, to OP, I hadn't gone to the doctor in 20 years and I freaked out about five years ago when my side kind of went numb and I felt dizzy. I was thinking it was a mini-stroke and that's what finally got me going to the doctor. I don't really care if I keel over of a heart attack, but a stroke scares the crap out of me. I understand not wanting to go on medication, but some people have a hard time getting the cholesterol down naturally.

There's a new side of "going to the doctor". First, you are assuming that you will actually see and talk to the doctor about you, your health, and your potential problem.
Three folks I know have in the last three months had ""Doctor Appointments" and gone to the office, Gone through whatever measurements, procedures, exams with one of his assistants, might have been nurse pratiioners, they didn't introduce themselves, they just did the stuff. And then told goodby. They never saw their doctors.
When they didn't hear any followups, they each called the office and were told we'll get back to you. Most are still waiting.

I pay $500 per quarter for MDVIP to get better service. Assistants run the tests, then I get an hour with the doc a few weeks later to review everything, and she is cool about being available by phone.

I've been using 1800 contacts for years. My vision hasn't changed and they don't require annual check ups. Also can apply your insurance.

How do you know? You haven’t seen a Dr. I got my yearly physical last February Dr said I had a heart murmur. Never been told that before and I go every year. Turns out I had aortic stenosis that progressed rapidly and had TAVR in December. Had he not caught that I’d be dead within a year.
Don’t be stupid. Get your self checked. Especially at your age.
