And then you start having symptoms and find our you have stage 4 cancer that would have been caught much earlier during an annual checkup/bloodwork, and treatable.

I worked offshore with solid medical benefits, and the amount of people who never went to the doc was staggering. It was quite common for crewmembers to die in their 40's and 50's.

Get labs done yearly. Don't regret something you could have easily addressed, and the pain it will cause your family.

"Now and perfectly healthy" ? Every body goes through changes as it ages. I'm in my 70's & as my son puts it, I'm like an old car, bits & pieces falling off here & there but so far, my
motor" is still running. Once your body reaches its 60's you're nuts not to start seeing doctors for routine checkups. Most such exams involve simple blood tests.

In Nazi Germany, they would never let a Four Eyes into the Lebensborn Program because they wanted only physically perfect men to mate with the huge stable of perky young blond haired and blue eyed sexy and eager beautiful maidens.

Also, you had to be a pure white guy to join.

I am one-percent African American so, they would never let me join.

Do yourself and your family a favor. Go to the doctor annually. Go to the dentist a little more frequently than nearly never. One day you will need one and you may not be able to get an appointment because you are not a patient of theirs.

Im late 50s. Go to a GP doc twice a year, for bloodwork. I am on zero medications.

Go to eye doctor once a year, really to make sure I dont get cataracts or glaucoma.

Go to dentist twice a year for cleanings, have not had to have a filling since I was about 15.

I go to a dermatologist 3 times a year, mainly to check for skin cancer because my father died of melanoma. Thats really the only one I would go to if I had to only pick one.
