Find out which of your cards only do soft pulls.

Request a credit line increase every 6 months to the day, I have reminders set.

I rotate cards. 6 cards. I use one per month for all expenses every other month. Funnel everything through my Amex every second month.

ETA: if it isn't zero percent I do not carry a balance. The Amex keeps me honest.

Probably the card I use the least. Their cash back never seems to add up correctly for me and its super slow. I probably use the chase freedom unlimited and cap one quicksilver the most. I also have 6 that I use. The only one I still have 0% interest on in chase.

Good for you but you should be paying off your cards every month. Carrying a balance is how you get into debt, and that balance costs you tons of money in interest. If you can’t afford to pay off your balance every month then you can’t afford what you’re buying

Unfortunately, I think it's about to go the opposite way for most people, especially if they cut the PUA down to nothing.

Debt settlement companies are about to score.

I tend to pay my CC as soon as the charge posts and it lets me. I mainly use CC's for the protection and keeping my debit card clean and safe.

Yeah I totally stopped using my Amex.

I use my Chase Sapphire 99% of the time but occasionally use the Freedom. A few bills are auto routed to the Freedom.

Good for you. My family is still shut down thanks to the good old government. We’ve lost tens and tens of thousands of dollars. Thanks at least for that $540 a week unemployment everyone wants cut, or we’d be living on $222 a week instead of the usual $1500 we make by working.

Almost exactly my story.

I lost faith in the institutions after being on hold and call after call after call etc. over several months, everyday, that it was extremely difficult and almost a fool’s errand...

Anyone who’s like, “You just call the CC company, etc. and explain what happened... it’ll all be cool” is FULL OF shite.

Also:

Just pay down/off your CC’s each month

I should have know that the OT is the smartest, wealthiest, most financially responsible group on the entire internet.

I should have know better than to share my personal good news that I’m proud of

Keep up the good money management, brethren.
