Nope, I’ve never performed that operation before.

Takes a few days, do the PT as RXd, it’ll be good as new in a few months

Varies person to person, but you can probably switch to Tylenol a week after surgery. 2 weeks if the constipation from the narcotics doesn’t bother you

Awful lot of it rides on which graft they used.

Hamstring and you'll be ok with Aleve in 5 days or less. Do the PT and embrace the suck and you'll be good to go.

Mine was easy. Took the prescription pain pills on the first day only to be sure I got some sleep. Never took any more of them. Leg got sore locked in place for 7 days, but that was it. And I was in my back seat the morning after surgery riding to the beach for a family vacation.

Funniest part was at my 7 day follow up with the DR, my wife passed out at the sight and smell of the wound. “Is your wife the blonde lady? She fell but she is okay.”

Now the “new” knee is noticeably tighter than the other one. They both crack in the mornings. Cest la vie

Fight through it, it gets better fast. I had mine right when the Kavanaugh hearing was going on for Supreme Court, so at least I had something fun to watch

Oh and do NOT skimp on the PT once you begin going though. Trust me on that one. I generally don’t trust people who get paid to hurt people for a living, but I am very glad I stayed consistent with the physical therapy.

Stop being a puss.

It’s two days. My goodness. You probably gonna hurt on and off for like 6 months.

Constant pain will be better in about 2 weeks.

Make sure your brace isn’t too tight. The first few days is painful.

Had ACL, MCL, PCL reconstruction so most likely I’m on the extreme end, but the first week has pretty rough. About 10 days in I was on T3s and then just basic Tylenol.

Hardest thing was even in the leg brace it was difficult to ever get comfortable due to the cold water circulator and regardless how I propped it up it seemed to be up against an incision.

Did it once, but never again, and very sorry I did it against the advice of a friend who also learned the hard way that many surgeons suck at it.

I had mine repaired with my patella tendon and it was terrible pain for about five days. Once I forced myself to get out of bed to get some sunshine, my attitude changed and it was much better. Make sure you bust your arse with PT, it hurts and it’s miserable but it’s worth it.

I did one back in 2008. The ol' baw still walks with a bit of a limp, but I saved him like 75%.

The first week is miserable. I know that’s not what you wanted to hear but it just sucks.

Fight through the first week and you will start feeling better

I have but my experience probably won't relate with yours as I had mine done when I was 16. Had it on a Friday and was back at school Monday limping like hell but without the use of crutches.

I did not take the PT seriously at the time so I lost a lot of flexibility due to hamstrings becoming super tight.

I am now 44 or 45 and thus far have had no issues with it.

You have at least another week of intense pain in store.

When do you start your PT?

Also, how is going to the bathroom with your leg in an immovable position. I found that the most "fun" especially if I had a bowel movement.

It is a sucky thing....all I can say is that it will get better.

in about 3 or 4 days.

God, the worst pain I think I ever felt was moving my elevated leg from the couch to the ground to go the bathroom, and all of that blood rushing down into my knee/upper calf. Felt like it was being crushed in a vice or something. Oof.

Lots of people have. It's a common procedure these days.
