Anybody use a laundry service, or am I just lazy?

I’ve got a stupid amount of clothes. Enough that I can go 10–12 weeks without washing anything and still wear something clean every day. Nothing gets reworn in that stretch.
The problem is when laundry day finally hits, it’s a monster. One giant session that I put off because I know it’ll take forever and wipe me out. I work a lot, I’m single so there’s nobody else doing it, and I keep telling myself I’ll stay on top of it as I go. I never do.
I’m more than willing to pay somebody. Not dry cleaning. Just regular wash, fold, and I’ve got enough wooden hangers for all the shirts and pants. Collared shirts and pants for work every day, but nothing that needs ironing or special handling other than a few silk Hawaiian shirts
.
The catch is I’m particular. Specific detergent, fabric softener, and I like the scent beads (queue the gay comments
). I don’t want somebody dumping generic Tide in there and calling it good.
Anybody around BR using a pickup service, or a wash-and-fold place? Worth it? Any horror stories? Or do y’all just suck it up and do it yourselves?

We used Hampr for a while. About what you’re looking for. Idk how it would work with the specifics you want like detergent etc.
You could probably put the detergent and the softener it in one of the hampers they pick up.
We had someone come to our house one day while we were out of town and it was ridiculously expensive. I wasn’t even mad it was honestly funny how much she charged.

I used wash and fold when I was a guitar playing college student without a washing machine.
I think they used generic Tide.

Why not get rid of some clothes?
Or just do a load of laundry in a Saturday morning or something to not let it be so daunting

I might dirty a half load of clothes per week and my wife does them for me

Back when I lived in BR, I had an Asian lady that picked up my bagged dirty clothes from my office. Then she would clean them and return them to the office folded and on hangers.
I was in a business meeting and she just strolled in, hung my stuff up in the coat closet and rolled out. Client I was in a meeting with was legit impressed.
It was a really nice service and worth the money. I miss that.

I used to have a lady who came to the house. I have to use specific products due to allergies so I would wash and lay the clothes on the guest bed. She came on Saturday morning and ironed, folded, and hung everything up. It cost about the same as the housekeeper if you broke each down to hourly. She told me she used the extra money on top of her full time job for vacation. Then she moved out of state and I quit working so much so I don't have a laundry lady anymore

Your particular but lazy as F and probably have a closet stacked up that you have to push the door to shut and hold those old arse clothes in. Disgusting

I won't let anybody else do my clothes, I've been doing them my way since I was 5 years old and had to stand in a chair to load and unload the washer.
