If you”turned it off” you wouldn’t have gotten the alert that woke you up.

I checked my settings. Apparently some update turned it back in. Thanks, android.

Usually the whole state. And considering the kid was found in NOLA it was probably a good idea.

100% chance that the Altima was riding around on a doughnut, had tinted windows, and one of the quarter panels was a different color.

Based on the license plate #, it was recently purchased. What's the KBB on a 16 year old Altima?

Assuming it was a grown man with a new Iberia haircut that had the kid

There should be a special spot in Hell for someone that commits a crime at a church. No matter if they are employed by the church or not

can we address the parents that leave their sleeping child in a running car?

That's my thing. What was a 9 month old doing sleeping in a car at 2:30 in the morning in a church parking lot?

There is a special place for Catholic priests in Hell.

I just wonder how many people have now turned off their Amber Alert notifications now so when it is needed in the future they won't get the notifications. Seems like this will do more harm than good in future cases.

Left my tv on and it was on pbs, got the alert and thought it was a test. A test at 3am, wtf. Could hardly understand the message. The mother or adult in charge should be thrown in jail.

My wife's phone went off, jolted both of us awake.

Then 15 min... right after we fell back asleep, mine went off.

Do they not all go out at the same time? Not sure how the tech works here... but I was more pissed on the second one.

Look, it's a good system... and while 90 percent of us are in bed at that time... some people are on the road and are at work, etc. I wish there was a setting to not have them go off at certain times... right now it's an all or nothing thing.

Idiot

The car was stolen Wednesday night not at 2:30 in the morning Thursday. Haven’t read where but I’m assuming the car was stolen 4-5 hours before the amber alert went out. Even then the alert went out AFTER the kid and car were found. So much fail on this amber alert.

No you didn't. Or your phones broken. Not the fault of the Amber alert system

Yes. And for me its nothing. I wouldn't mind getting them during reasonable hours though. They need to update the system.

Finally just turned them off.

You can set your phone to not receive notifications, text, alerts within a certain time. Mine is set between 10:30PM - 6:00AM, but another phone in my house went off.

If I didn't have another phone in the house, I wouldn't set my phone to not receive notifications, etc within a certain period of time because you never know when there will be an alert that will be relevant to you.

If it happened on a regular basis that would be one thing, but it was one night. People are making too much of a big deal over this
