I thought I had gas pains. After a couple of hours I came to the conclusion it was something else. It was very uncomfortable, but not to the pain level everyone describes.

I had them once. Came on all of a sudden and hurt like a mofo. Usually would hit at 2am while I was sleeping. I would come off that bed like I was the girl in the Excorcist, but once it passed I would have the best sleep of my life.

Had an attack once while I was driving to work in rush hour traffic. That was fun. Passed them after a few days and haven't had any since.

My last episode was in Nov. I've been taking a potassium citrate supplement daily. It's suppose to be a good prevention if you have calcium oxalate stones. I'll keep people posted.

Does Apple cider vinegar help? I drank that like water the last time I was trying to pass one and I'm not sure if it helps or not.

The pain subsided from the last one I had so I went to work and was using the urinal when all of a sudden my piss started acting like I had my finger over the end of a water hose.

Looked down and there was what appeared to be this enormous brown thing protruding from the head of my penis.

Not something you ever want to look down and see. So I reached down and pulled the SOB out.

Crazy shite.

ETA heres the pic from that morning

Everybody has these home rememsies that supposedly work, but nothing worked for me except water to help push it out. I tried Chanca Piedra tea, olive oil, lemon juice, with no avail.

Of course, because the rest of them are bullshite. The guy who said pound a six pack might be on to something but if you got a slow mover, building up the pressure behind it sounds like an agonizing plan.

Mine look like the surface of the meteor in Armageddon. Feels like I'm pissing a sand burr.

I was told to swear off all carbonated drinks.. Not just Coke because it's the phosphates that are the problem. This goes for soda water and LaCroix too.

The way my Dr described it is if you don't already have a stone no problem with soft drinks.

However if there's already one there, the phosphates act like the calcium in water does to stalactites in a cave.. As it's passing through some of it clings to the stone.. Helping it to grow.

That cured me of soft drinks.

My kidneys hurt like frick one morning when I woke up. Drank up all the pickle juice in the house and a lot of water before work. Remember hearing the stone hit the urinal when I took a piss. Luckily there was zero pain besides the kidneys hurting. The thought still scares me regardless

I woke up at 4 am to use the bathroom. Getting back in bed I felt a pain in my lower ab similar to a cramp. It got worse quickly and I managed to drive myself to the ER. You know that nasty indoor/outdoor carpet they have in the ER? I was chewing on it. I tried to yell but was out of breath. I never vomited but felt like I needed to heave. I'm not ashamed to say in a fetal position on the ER floor I asked God to take me or the pain. Within 30 seconds the pain subsided.

The ER doc was angry because they should have given me pain meds while I waited. The stone is moving when you are in pain.

My cause was copious amounts of Vitamin C to ward off sinus infections and colds. Calcium buildup, man. Since I didn't know this, I developed more stones. I passed one in the City Park golf clubhouse after a round.

I developed another one, didn't pass it, and it lodged in my intestine. I met a urologist on a Monday and he operated on a Wednesday. They went up thru my johnson to grab the pesky stone. Pissing after that surgery is hell. The doc told me to drink straight lemon juice.

I stopped the Vitamin C.

I can attest to this procedure being not so nice. It feels like pissing razor blades for a few days as the tiny particles they miss come flowing out your manhood that's been invaded by what is basically a claw machine hook.
