Exactly. I am beyond happy with what I bring home, and I could not imagine spending money on eating out daily. My cheap arse is blown away when I occasionally do and spend $12-$16.

Most of the gaggle of hens I work with get together in the kitchen, make a shitload of noise as they make gormet salads, and talk about their new diets. They all could stand to lose a couple hundred pounds but it never happens.

I know a chick that makes probably 40k per year and orders Waitr most days. She probably spends $15-20 per day on lunch.

I eat out about once per week unless it's a business lunch and vendors are paying.

Uh, no. A sandwich and banana or little bag of chips is like $1-2.

I generally cook big on Sat or Sun: grill out, make a big curry, or something. That way, I'll have lunch for most of the week. It's not hard if you plan. Saves a bunch of money in food, gas, time, etc.

My lunch is paid for by the company so I do. When I don’t I usually order in. It really is a sweet deal

I eat out for lunch everyday, but three or so days I only spend like $6 or 7 .

What do you eat that is that cheap? Do you work in an urban areas? I work in downtown Dallas and the cheapest place close to my office is $11 or so. I bring my lunch everyday and take like 15 minutes. Early I get here, earlier I can leave.

Friday's are my eat out day.

I hate wasting the food I cook so I eat leftovers most days.

$10 lunch is cheap nowadays too, unless it is fast food.

Amazes me how a gaggle of office girls making probably $10 an hour or so will spend $10 a day ordering out for lunch

Me too. People I work with make more than $10 an hour but still go out to eat for lunch every single day. Let's conservatively call it $12 per day (although at MOST sit down restaurants with drink/tax/tip you're looking at well over that) and you're looking at over $2,500 per year. That's not even getting into the fact that these people are also likely spending out on dinners multiple times a night as well.

Of 20 workdays in a month, I make my lunch at home probably 19 of them.

The office girls can do it because their husband brings in the real money. I eat out twice per week. Once with my co-workers and once with the SO. Eating out is expensive.
