Winn Dixie has $3.99 plate lunches. I take advantage of that on a regular basis.

That’s not bad.

Dunno if they all do. The one in Long Beach gives you an entree, side, and roll. I usually get chicken tenders or baked chicken and Superfood salad and decline the roll.

Amazes me how a gaggle of office girls making probably $10 an hour or so will spend $10 a day ordering out for lunch. Over 10% of your daily income gone right there.

yeah it's really amazing to watch

a couple years ago one girl in the office where i rent made a comment like "i wish i had lawyer money to eat steak every day" in response to my FB steak pics. she then goes onto order some $10+ lunch a few minutes later

the steak i cook is $5/lb and i had some kale/broccoli/carrot mix with it. probably cost $5.75 at most

I will go out if a vendor is buying, hell yeah. Or some team function. But generally no.

No time. Finishing a frozen dinner from the microwave in our office breakroom as i write this.

People around me are like, you eat that shite everyday? I do dress it up w some Siracha and Tony's, but I don't have time to stand in line at the cafeteria. Plus it saves money. Money i need for my other vices.

I don't eat out for lunch often, but when I do it's usually cheaper than 5 bucks. Today I got 4 for $4 deal at Wendy's.

correct, only people who eat at the office are the nerds. And we spend our lunches at Hooters making fun of those guys

I bet you do. I'm sure you and I wouldn't have much to talk about if you are that shallow.

One my keys to success is that I make a point of not giving a SHITE about what other people think about me. I do what I want.

I eat out for lunch everyday - between $10-15 a day. It’s my vice.

I work hard and this is one of my rewards.

Dude, you got super mad over my Hooters comment. Do you get picked on at work? Would you like to talk to the principal?

Your math is so bad. 75 a week is 1/40 of his pay.

Are you familiar with taxes? Factor in around 30% tax and you are at almost 4% as I said.

So if you make $75/hr You make roughly $150,000/year. That puts your effective tax rate at about 22%. Add in FICA and like I said, around 30% tax rate. 2.5% divided by 70% (1-tax rate) and you get the "real percentage spent. I rounded up to 4%.

No idea how people can eat out for lunch everyday and not be grossly overweight. Maybe they get salads with no dressing.

Lol, if I do get lunch, i go get a subway salad for under $7. barely any carbs and usually cant even finish it all.
